BROWN BROTHERS SET TO GO FOR CANADIAN TRIPLE TREAT WEEKEND

Three Nights of Racing at Three Different Tracks on the Patriot Sprint Tour
July 18, 2018
Brantford’s Mitch and Jake Brown will be returning to Ohsweken Speedway this Friday night for only their third appearance at the local 3/8th-mile oval this season.
This Friday’s visit kicks off three straight nights of Sprint Car racing for the New York-based Patriot Sprint Tour’s “Triple Treat Weekend” with the series moving on to Eastern Ontario for events at Brockville Ontario Speedway on Saturday and Cornwall Motor Speedway on Sunday.
In their second Ohsweken appearance on June 15th event, Mitch started 14th in the 19-car field and worked his way forward to a 5th-place finish. It was a tough run for Jake who started 6th in the A-Main but he went off the top in turn three and four to bring out a caution at lap 10 resulting in a DNF.
The Brantford brothers had ran an earlier PST event on June 2nd at Fulton Speedway in upstate New York where Mitch drove his Brantford Hyundai, Brown Auto Service, Strodes BBQ & Deli, Niesen A/C &Heating -sponsored #10 Sprinter to a 4th-place finish in the 25-lap A-Main.
Jake experienced front-end damages to his Strodes BBQ & Deli, Hill’s Tires & Gas, Brown Auto Service-sponsored #1-10 Sprinter on lap 15 of that event that ended his night early.
Their first 2018 planned start with the Patriots was the series’ season opener at Merrittville Speedway which was cancelled because of rain and has yet to be rescheduled.
With $3,333 to win and $333 to start (all USD) each of the “Triple Treat Weekend” events it is expected a strong field of the Patriot Sprint Tour’s top US Series leaders will cross the border to join Ohsweken Speedway’s Kool Kidz-Corr/Pak 360 Sprint Cars and Southern Ontario Sprints regulars for the mini-series.
